Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Animal Caretaker (Hot Walker) to join our team. This role is pivotal in exercising and cooling down racehorses post-workout, ensuring their health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the cooling down session of horses post-exercise.
• Document all activities related to horse care accurately.
• Ensure a safe environment for both horses and employees.
• Work alongside vets to implement treatment plans.
• Assist in routine horse assessments and evaluations.
• Participate actively in health and safety training programs.
• Promote a culture of excellence in equine care.
• Foster strong relationships with horses to enhance their training.
• Support in the implementation of new care protocols.
• Maintain equipment used for walking and exercising the horses.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required
• Experience with racehorses specifically is advantageous

Experience

• Prior experience in a professional racing stable or related equine setting.
