Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Longwall Shearer to join our underground mining operations. As part of our team, you will operate and maintain the longwall shearer machinery, adhering strictly to safety protocols and ensuring efficient mineral extraction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation of the longwall shearer while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule machine repairs and updates.
• Participate actively in safety meetings and propose improvements.
• Monitor and report on the performance metrics of the shearer machine to management.
• Support the implementation of best practices in mining safety and operation.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional training in heavy machinery or mining operations desirable

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in an underground mining setting

Technical Skills

• Machinery maintenance

Certifications
