Job Description

As a Derrick Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of drilling rigs. You will work closely with the drilling team to maintain and repair equipment, adhering to the highest safety standards while optimising drilling operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and inspection of drilling equipment.
• Support the Driller in daily operations and equipment management.
• Conduct checks on safety equipment and emergency protocols.
• Collaborate with the team to optimise drilling efficiency.
• Participate in debrief meetings for operational analysis.
• Document maintenance logs and operational reports diligently.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational or technical qualifications preferred

Experience

• Experience working on oil rigs is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Safety protocols knowledge
• Computer literacy

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with rigging procedures: Experience in rigging down and rigging up operations.
