Job Description

As a Labor Relations Specialist, you will manage and resolve employee grievances and appeals effectively within our organisation. You play a pivotal role in fostering fair labour practices while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end workflow of grievances and appeals, ensuring all procedures and policies are followed.
  • Review and assess grievances and appeals filed by employees.
  • Conduct detailed investigations and gather pertinent evidence.
  • Guide and support employees throughout the grievance and appeal process.
  • Identify trends or recurring issues and propose recommendations.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide training on conflict resolution and grievance handling to staff.
  • Analyze data to track the effectiveness of grievance resolution processes.
  • Stay current with changes in employment legislation and company policy.
  • Work closely with HR and management to drive employee engagement efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Human Resources, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • Higher degree or qualifications in employment law desirable
Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of UK employment laws and grievance handling is essential.
