Job Description

As an Urban and Regional Planner, you'll evaluate and analyze town planning applications and develop strategies to enhance community development. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with housing regulations and contribute to sustainable urban growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct spatial analysis and assessments for new housing developments.
  • Advise on land use planning and zoning regulations.
  • Prepare planning permission applications and support documentation.
  • Integrate sustainability principles in urban planning initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication between community groups and government authorities.
  • Lead workshops and public forums for community engagement.
  • Prepare presentations for stakeholders on planning proposals.
  • Work closely with architects and environmental consultants to evaluate designs.
  • Research and apply best practices in urban planning.
  • Assist in the development of strategic community plans.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in urban or regional planning
