Cupola Tapper

Job Description

As a Cupola Tapper, you will oversee the operation of cupola furnaces to melt and cast metals. Your expertise will ensure that the flow of molten metal is expertly managed and that our quality standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

• Manage the melting and casting operations efficiently.
• Ensure the temperature and chemical composition of molten iron is maintained.
• Tap the furnace to release molten iron into ladles for transportation.
• Document production data accurately for record-keeping.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues promptly.
• Work with the quality control team to implement changes as required.

Requirements

Education

• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

Experience

• Experience working in a foundry or manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Basic Hand Tools

• Problem Solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with lean manufacturing: Familiarity with lean processes to enhance efficiency.
