Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Conservation Scientist to manage and preserve wetland areas. This role involves conducting surveys, assessing wetland health, and developing conservation strategies to protect biodiversity and ecosystem functions.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed ecological assessments and monitoring of wetland areas.
Design and execute restoration projects aimed at improving wetland health.
Engage with communities and stakeholders to foster collaborative wetland management.
Provide expert advice on wetland conservation practices and policy.
Participate in funding proposals and grant applications for conservation initiatives.
Generate reports on wetland project outcomes and effectiveness.
Lead training sessions for staff and volunteers on wetland management practices.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
Advanced degrees in Ecology or Environmental Management are advantageous
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in wetland conservation and management
