Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Conservation Scientist to manage and preserve wetland areas. This role involves conducting surveys, assessing wetland health, and developing conservation strategies to protect biodiversity and ecosystem functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed ecological assessments and monitoring of wetland areas.
  • Design and execute restoration projects aimed at improving wetland health.
  • Engage with communities and stakeholders to foster collaborative wetland management.
  • Provide expert advice on wetland conservation practices and policy.
  • Participate in funding proposals and grant applications for conservation initiatives.
  • Generate reports on wetland project outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Lead training sessions for staff and volunteers on wetland management practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
  • Advanced degrees in Ecology or Environmental Management are advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in wetland conservation and management
