Job Description

As a Derrick Operator, you will be essential in operating and maintaining drilling rig equipment, particularly the derrick system. This role demands a robust physical capability, coupled with essential technical skills to ensure effective drilling operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of the derrick and associated equipment.
  • Ensure proper rigging and lifting techniques are employed during operations.
  • Assist in mud mixing and circulation activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to mitigate operational risks.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area at all times.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in derrick operations or similar role.

Certifications
  • Valid offshore survival and medical certificates
  • IWCF Well Control certification (advantageous)
