Mechanical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Mechanical Technician to join our team in Swansea. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and ensuring that all equipment operates at peak efficiency. This role not only requires technical expertise but also a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate in a team environment to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor machinery for unusual noises and performance issues.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting issues.
• Keep work area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• HND in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in mechanical maintenance or engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Troubleshooting
• Electrical Systems Understanding

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CAD Software: Knowledge of CAD software for designing and updating mechanical parts.
• Team Leadership Experience: Prior experience leading small maintenance teams is a benefit.
