Job Description

The Mandarin Language Academy is looking for a dedicated Mandarin Language Instructor to join our team in Oldham. You will play a crucial role in teaching Mandarin to students of various ages and backgrounds, designing engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote language acquisition and cultural appreciation. A successful candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and have a deep understanding of Mandarin language and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Mandarin instruction to diverse groups.
  • Evaluate students' language skills through regular testing.
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Tailor instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with other instructors for cross-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Incorporate technology to enhance learning experiences.
  • Conduct cultural workshops to deepen students' understanding of Chinese culture.
  • Advise students on further language development opportunities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Master's degree in Education or Linguistics preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in teaching Mandarin as a foreign language
