Textile Winding, Twisting, and Drawing Out Machine Setter

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced skeiner to assist in the production of high-quality textiles. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various machines and equipment related to the skeining and twisting processes, while ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate skeining, twisting, and drawing out machines to meet production targets.
• Regularly assess machine performance and implement fixes as necessary.
• Document and report on quality control measures and results.
• Collaborate closely with team members to streamline operations.
• Provide feedback to management on machine issues and workflow improvements.
• Participate in training sessions for new processes and technologies.
• Assist in the inspection of finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
• Engage actively in team initiatives for health and safety improvements.
• Maintain an organised workspace to support efficient production.
• Support the mentoring of junior staff in operational tasks.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Additional training in textiles production is an asset

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in skeining or related textiles manufacturing.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Experience with quality control measures

Soft Skills

• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with quality control measures: Participation in or knowledge of quality assessment processes.
