Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsystems Engineer to design, develop, and maintain innovative medical devices that adhere to industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring the safety and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of new medical devices from concept through to production.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product reliability.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Evaluate new technologies and materials for potential application in medical devices.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions for new products.
  • Provide technical support to the sales and marketing teams as needed.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers on best practices in device design and testing.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or another relevant engineering field
  • Master's degree preferred with a focus on medical device design
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry
Technical Skills
  • Medical Device Manufacturing Processes
  • Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 13485)
Soft Skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Project Management
Certifications
  • Certified Medical Device Compliance Professional (CMDCP)
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
