Ship Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Ship Engineer who can manage the upkeep and repairs of deck equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to lead a team in executing deck operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to prolong equipment life.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure operational efficiency.
• Facilitate training workshops for crew on machinery usage and safety.
• Aid in the installation of new deck technologies and systems.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant technical diploma or degree
• STCW Deck Officer Certificate

Experience

• 3+ years of experience on different types of vessels

Technical Skills

• Deck Machinery Automation

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of marine environmental regulations: Understanding of sustainability practices and how they apply to maritime operations.
