Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing precision metal components using lathes, ensuring quality and accuracy in the final products. Responsibilities

• Set up and run lathe machines for precision metal component manufacturing.
• Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Monitor the machining process, adjusting settings as needed.
• Ensure all components are produced within quality standards.
• Keep machines and tools organized and well-maintained.
• Work closely with other production team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or vocational training program is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in operating lathes and producing precision metal components.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in other manufacturing processes: Experience in milling or drilling is considered advantageous.
• Specialization in specific metals: Experience working with metals such as steel or aluminium.
• Familiarity with CAD software: Experience with computer-aided design tools for better accuracy in production.
