Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Spanish Moss Pickers to join our team in Brighton. As a Spanish Moss Picker, you will be responsible for harvesting Spanish moss, preparing it for distribution while adhering to quality control processes. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and have a keen eye for detail. Experience in plant harvesting is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of harvesting areas to assess moss quality.
• Gather moss efficiently while minimizing environmental impact.
• Collaborate with the Sourcing team to identify potential harvesting sites.
• Assist in training new team members on harvesting techniques.
• Monitor weather conditions and report any adverse effects on harvesting plans.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Maintain a tidy work environment and ensure tools are stored properly.
• Stay updated on best practices for sustainable harvesting.
• Help implement improvements in harvesting processes.
• Support the supervisor with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required
• Knowledge of plant biology or horticulture would be advantageous

Experience

• Previous experience in plant harvesting or agriculture is desirable.
