Job Description
We are seeking a proactive Fleet Manager to oversee and optimise our fleet operations in Stevenage. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fleet management, ensuring compliance with transport regulations and improving fleet efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain fleet management policies and procedures.
  • Plan and manage vehicle procurement and disposals.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to streamline operations.
  • Drive compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Implement performance metrics and KPIs for fleet management.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
  • Advise the management team on fleet performance and necessary improvements.
  • Utilise technology and software to improve fleet management processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Management, or related field
  • Professional qualification in fleet management is advantageous
  • Fleet Management Software Proficient with various fleet management systems and software.
  • Data Analysis Skilled in analysing fleet data to improve operations and reduce costs.
  • Regulatory Compliance Strong understanding of transport legislation and health and safety regulations.
  • Leadership Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Communication Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving Adept at identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Certificate in Fleet Management
  • Transport Manager CPC
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with telematics systems: Experience in using telematics for fleet efficiency and reporting.
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion.
