Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Animal Breeder to manage our dairy cattle, supervise the milking process, and ensure the health of our animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry and a passion for dairy farming.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the milking process, ensuring hygiene and efficiency.
• Manage feeding schedules and ensure the cattle receive appropriate nutrition.
• Maintain records of cattle health and breeding information.
• Supervise farm staff and assist in training new employees.
• Utilise farm management software for monitoring operations.
• Participate in breeding programs and monitor reproductive health.
• Conduct regular health checks on dairy cattle.
• Coordinate with veterinarians for preventive care and treatments.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of farm facilities.
• Contribute ideas for improving farming practices and productivity.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualifications in Agriculture or Animal Husbandry

Experience

• Experience in supervising dairy operations is an advantage
