Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Liverpool. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, excellent organisational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that shipments are prepared and dispatched according to schedules.
• Control inventory by conducting regular stock counts and audits.
• Utilise logistics software to enhance tracking and reporting capabilities.
• Address and resolve logistical issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Provide administrative support to the logistics manager.
• Coordinate training and development for logistics team members.
• Generate and present reports on logistics performance to management.
• Support sustainability initiatives within the logistics department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations

Technical Skills

• SAP or equivalent ERP systems
• Inventory Management Systems

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• CILT Level 5 Diploma in Logistics and Transport

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ISO standards: Knowledge of logistics ISO certifications and processes.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding procedures: Understanding of the freight forwarding industry and practices.
