Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Rigging Supervisor who will oversee the installation and maintenance of rigging systems for various live events including theatre, concerts, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of rigging techniques and safety regulations, combined with excellent leadership skills to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the rigging team to ensure timely completion of setups and equipment checks.
  • Review and approve rigging plans and changes to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all rigging work is performed in alignment with health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to guarantee all rigging requirements are met ahead of events.
  • Resolve any rigging-related issues that may arise during events, maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous improvement practices for rigging operations and team performance.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed and maintained systematically.
  • Promote a culture of safety and teamwork among all crew members.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the rigging team on new technologies and safety practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Proven experience as a Rigging Supervisor or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and practices
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in rigging systems, ideally in a leadership capacity.
