Job Description

As an Ore Digger, you will play a vital role in our mining operations by expertly extracting ores and minerals using heavy machinery. Your ability to operate excavators, loaders, and drills will be essential in ensuring the smooth and safe extraction of valuable resources.

Responsibilities

• Use excavators, loaders, and drills to excavate minerals efficiently.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Coordinate with supervisors for task allocation and safety compliance.
• Record extraction data and assist in reporting production figures.
• Work in accordance with health and safety standards during operations.
• Assist in the training of new team members on equipment usage.
• Identify potential hazards and report them immediately.
• Utilise GPS and surveying equipment to ensure precise extraction.
• Participate in safety drills and adhere to emergency protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in underground mining operations preferred.

Technical Skills

• GPS and Surveying Equipment
• Machine Maintenance

Certifications

• Certification in First Aid and CPR

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
