Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Lab Research Scientist to join our Ipswich team. The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory practices, including sample analysis, data interpretation, and technical reporting. Responsibilities

  • Carry out experiments in accordance with established protocols while troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Document research findings meticulously and report significant results to the team.
  • Standardise laboratory procedures to enhance data quality and reliability.
  • Participate in the development of new experimental techniques and methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with the research team to enhance overall project outcomes.
  • Engage in peer discussions to share insights and refine research approaches.
  • Support the training of junior laboratory staff and interns.
  • Comply with laboratory regulations and ensure good laboratory practices.
  • Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and assist in procurement activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology or a related field
  • PhD in relevant scientific discipline preferred
Experience
  • 3-7 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory environment focusing on research and development
