Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Mental Health Counsellor to join our dedicated team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in therapeutic communication and a genuine passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough client assessments and create meaningful intervention plans.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions focused on shared experiences.
  • Document client interactions and progress in line with practice standards.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for comprehensive client support.
  • Promote mental health awareness through community engagement activities.
  • Provide flexibility in counselling methods to suit diverse client backgrounds.
  • Engage in reflective practice and continuous professional education.
  • Demonstrate a non-judgmental approach while building trust with clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Counselling or related field
  • Master's degree in Counselling or Psychology is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a counselling setting
