Fleet Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Fleet Supervisor to oversee our fleet operations in Stevenage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management and will be responsible for maintaining vehicle compliance and optimizing fleet performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the fleet department.
• Ensure all vehicles are compliant with regulations and safety standards.
• Work with management to establish fleet goals and objectives.
• Conduct training sessions for new fleet staff.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Analyse fleet performance data and implement improvements.
• Facilitate communication between drivers and management.
• Prepare and manage fleet budgets.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Transportation Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in fleet operations

Technical Skills

• GPS Tracking Systems
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification
• Transport Manager CPC

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in implementing green fleet initiatives: Knowledge of practices that enhance sustainability in fleet operations.
• Familiarity with telematics systems: Experience with telematics for vehicle tracking and performance analysis.
