Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Weld Fitter to join our skilled production team in Birmingham. As a valued member of our engineering department, the successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in various welding techniques and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings and measure workpieces.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks with precision and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy and structural integrity.
  • Utilize various welding techniques to meet project needs.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the workshop.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to the supervisor.
  • Participate in training sessions to keep skills updated.
  • Assist in carrying out quality control inspections.

Requirements

Education
  • Technical qualification in metal fabrication or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in welding and fabrication roles.

Certifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Welding
