Logging Equipment Operator

Job Description

As a Logging Equipment Operator, you will operate machinery to stack lumber in our lumberyard or sawmill. You will ensure that the lumber is loaded and unloaded efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as stackers and conveyors for lumber management.
• Verify the accuracy of lumber stacking based on order specifications.
• Engage in troubleshooting to resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Keep accurate logs of work performed and materials handled.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss workflow and improvements.
• Work closely with the Yard Manager to meet production targets.
• Assist with other yard operations as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in heavy machinery operation preferred

Experience

• Experience in a lumberyard or sawmill environment is advantageous.
