Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician with expertise in diagnosing and repairing outdoor power equipment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills and a solid grasp of electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough diagnostics on various small engine equipment.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined by manufacturers.
• Interact with customers to explain repairs and provide exceptional service.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
• Document all services provided and maintain accurate customer records.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians to improve service efficiency.
• Participate in training sessions for new techniques and repair methods.
• Help train junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• Experience with diagnosing specific electronic devices is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Soft Skills

• Time management and organisational skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies

Certifications

• Specific industry certifications such as EPA 608 for refrigerants

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Advanced soldering and circuit board repair skills: Expertise in soldering for repairs and component replacements.
• Experience with data recovery and software troubleshooting: Ability to assist with software issues related to electronic devices.
