Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee a variety of construction projects in Edinburgh. The role involves managing project timelines, budgeting, and leading a team of skilled professionals to ensure successful project completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed efficiently.
  • Engage with clients to determine project specifications and preferences.
  • Develop project proposals and present them to stakeholders.
  • Direct site teams to enforce adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Liaise with government and regulatory bodies to secure permits and approvals.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate project staff and subcontractors.
  • Implement innovative construction techniques to enhance project delivery.
  • Analyse project outcomes and derive lessons for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in strategic planning for future project initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Masters in Project Management is an asset
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience managing construction projects

  • AutoCAD
  • Building Codes and Regulations

Certifications
  • International Project Management Professional (IPMP)
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety Management
