Job Description

The Medical Library Assistant will provide crucial support services to our medical library, assisting with cataloging, organizing, and maintaining library resources. You will help library users with research queries and ensure they are utilizing the library resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Organize and update the library collection to ensure resource accessibility.
• Guide library users in navigating digital resources effectively.
• Provide user support and training on library management systems.
• Manage document delivery services and interlibrary loan requests.
• Contribute to the evaluation of library services and user satisfaction.
• Assist in developing new research skills training for users.
• Engage with library stakeholders to assess needs and requirements.
• Support the library's outreach initiatives to promote services.
• Implement best practices in library management and organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field
• Master's degree in Library Sciences is preferred

Experience

• Experience in a healthcare library environment is an advantage.
