Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Buyers and Purchasing Agent for farm products to join our team in London. The successful candidate will manage vendor relationships, ensuring quality products are sourced and delivered on time. You will play a pivotal role in streamlining purchasing processes and enhancing the efficiency of our supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of farm products from initial selection to delivery.
• Track order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely shipments.
• Evaluate product quality upon arrival and address any initial issues with vendors.
• Stay informed about market prices and adjust contracts accordingly.
• Work closely with marketing to ensure product availability aligns with promotional activities.
• Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the sustainability of our supply chain.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding purchasing needs.
• Develop and maintain a database of suppliers and products.
• Prepare reports on industry trends to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business or related field
• Professional certifications in purchasing or supply chain management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in agricultural procurement or related fields.
