Job Description

As a Correctional Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the facility. Responsible for overseeing inmate conduct, your duties will include monitoring activities, enforcing facility regulations, and responding to emergencies. We are looking for individuals who can manage stressful situations effectively while ensuring the well-being of both inmates and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor conduct of inmates, reporting any incidents to the senior officer.
  • Conduct regular searches and inspections to maintain security.
  • Assist in the transport of inmates for appointments.
  • Ensure that inmates adhere to facility rules and procedures.
  • Assist in rehabilitation efforts through support and guidance.
  • Record daily reports of activities and any unusual occurrences.
  • Utilise security systems for surveillance and reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a safe environment.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a training programme for correctional officers or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Experience in law enforcement or security is advantageous but not required.
