Sewing Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to oversee the operation and maintenance of automatic seamers in our canning division. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and a keen eye for quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic seamers to produce quality sealed cans.
• Inspect equipment regularly to ensure operational efficiency.
• Report issues to management and participate in training of new staff.
• Execute quality control measures to ensure product standards.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels of packaging materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production line.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications necessary
• Vocational training in relevant fields is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly desirable
