Job Description

As a Weed Control Inspector, you will be responsible for the rigorous monitoring and management of weed growth in designated areas. Your role will involve implementing effective strategies to preserve the environment and enhance public spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect assigned areas regularly for invasive weed species.
  • Formulate and execute weed control methodologies tailored to specific environments.
  • Operate and maintain related equipment and tools effectively and safely.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and weed control technologies.
  • Educate the community on the importance of responsible weed management.
  • Facilitate community workshops focused on sustainable practices for weed control.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental policies during all weed management operations.
  • Prepare reports on the condition of the inspected areas and effectiveness of applied control measures.
  • Advise on the use of environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional herbicides.
  • Work independently and as part of a dedicated team towards common objectives.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant degree or certification in environmental sciences, horticulture, or related field
Experience
  • Experience in vegetation management or similar role is required.
