Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will assist in day-to-day operations including the loading and unloading of goods, inventory management, and ensuring a safe working environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the seamless flow of logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute loading and unloading processes with attention to detail.
• Support merchandise preparation and order fulfilment.
• Maintain stock levels and assist in replenishing inventory.
• Engage in routine cleaning and organization of warehouse areas.
• Identify any safety hazards and help manage risk.
• Assist with the implementation of process improvements.
• Coordinate with management on shipment schedules.
• Engage in inventory analysis to identify discrepancies.
• Help foster a strong team culture focused on productivity.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferable

Technical Skills

• Pallet Jack Operation
• Data Entry Skills

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Forklift Certification
• First Aid Certification (desirable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in food handling or perishables: Knowledge of handling perishable goods is a plus.
• Knowledge of lean warehousing principles: Understanding of lean principles in warehouse operations.
