Job Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled Hotel Receptionist to become an integral part of our York team. The successful candidate will provide outstanding service to our guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process while handling inquiries and requests efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct guests appropriately.
  • Check reservations and welcome guests to their rooms.
  • Respond to emails and telephone inquiries regarding hotel services.
  • Keep the reception area tidy and presentable.
  • Assist guests with luggage and provide directions.
  • Manage online bookings and confirm reservations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on guest promotions.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
  • Prepare and handle the daily cash reports and balances.
  • Support the hotel management in administrative tasks.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A degree in Tourism or Hospitality is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role
Technical Skills
  • Use of Computer Software

Languages
  • English: Fluent
