We are seeking a detail-oriented Fleet Coordinator to manage our fleet operations in Stevenage. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing vehicle maintenance, scheduling repairs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring safety standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accurate tracking of vehicle mileage and usage.
  • Participate in the development of the fleet management budget.
  • Monitor and report on fleet performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for vehicle repairs.
  • Assist in the development of fleet operational strategies.
  • Evaluate and report the risks associated with fleet operations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Prepare documentation for audits related to fleet operations.
  • Actively participate in fleet management meetings.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field
  • Professional certification in Fleet Management is a plus
  • Fleet Management Software Proficient in using fleet management systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Expert in Excel and Word for report preparation and analysis.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Knowledge Understanding of vehicle maintenance processes and requirements.
  • Organizational Skills Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certified Fleet Manager (CFM)
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience with route optimisation software: Hands-on experience in using software to improve delivery routes and reduce costs.
  • Knowledge of logistics regulations: Understanding of the legal guidelines governing fleet operations.
