First-Line Supervisors of Material-Moving Machine and Vehicle Operators

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive First-Line Supervisor of Material-Moving Machine and Vehicle Operators. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate daily operations, ensuring safety and efficiency while leading a team of operators.

Responsibilities

• Manage workforce scheduling and optimize labor usage.
• Develop and implement training programs for new hires.
• Ensure quality control measures are in place for all operations.
• Maintain communication with logistics and supply chain teams.
• Assist in preparing reports for upper management.
• Resolve conflicts within the team and promote a positive working environment.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Logistics or Transport is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar supervisory position

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of transport management systems
• Fleet management skills

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Transport Manager CPC

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in fleet management: Experience managing large fleets, ensuring compliance and safety.
• Competence in project management: Ability to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery.
