Job Description

As a Metal Crafts Artist at Artisan Metalworks Ltd., you will create bespoke metalwork that blends artistry with functionality. We are looking for someone with technical skills and a strong portfolio showcasing your past projects.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate large-scale metal pieces for public art displays and exhibitions.
• Collaborate with the design team to refine concepts for new projects.
• Select appropriate metals and materials for different creative projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in metalworking.
• Participate in art shows and community events to promote metal crafts.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
• Document the process of creating pieces for portfolio development.
• Mentor apprentices and junior staff in metalworking techniques.
• Research and implement new techniques and trends in metal crafts.
• Participate in client consultations to provide expert advice on metalwork.

Requirements

Education

• Portfolio of previous metalwork projects demonstrating artistic ability and craftsmanship.

Experience

• Experience working with a variety of metals and techniques.

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling
• Metal Conservation

Soft Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with 3D modeling software: Hands-on experience with CAD or similar design software.
• Experience in large-scale installations: Background in creating large metal sculptures or public art pieces.
