Transportation Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Planner to support the development and implementation of transport projects in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of transportation policies, urban planning principles, and a passion for improving urban mobility.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for reducing traffic congestion and improving public transit access.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure transportation plans align with infrastructure capabilities.
• Utilize GIS and other software tools for mapping and analysis.
• Contribute to policy development and advocate for transportation funding.
• Support the implementation of smart transportation technologies and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transport Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree in Transport Planning is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in transportation planning or civil engineering
