Health and Safety Advisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Dudley. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in delivering educational content, working closely with students to enhance their learning experience. You will play a key role in creating an engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular reviews of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Engage with staff to promote awareness of health and safety issues.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage workplace hazards.
• Liaise with emergency services and facilitate training on emergency preparedness.
• Oversee the management of personal protective equipment (PPE) across the organization.
• Assess the effectiveness of health and safety training programs and make improvements.
• Implement health and safety initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role

Certifications

• NEBOSH National Diploma
• IOSH Certificate in Safety and Health for Managers

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a manufacturing environment: Preferably have experience working in a health and safety role within a manufacturing sector.
• Lead Auditor Training: Experience or qualifications in auditing health and safety management systems.
