Telephone Triage Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telephone Triage Nurse to join our Telehealth Department. You will be responsible for conducting assessments and offering medical advice to patients. Your expertise will help us provide high-quality care while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' symptoms over the phone and provide relevant information regarding their conditions.
• Advise patients on the best course of action based on their immediate needs.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records of patient interactions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss case reviews and operational improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification

Experience

• Experience in emergency or critical care nursing is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Soft Skills

• Effective listening skills to gather relevant information
• Time management skills to prioritize and handle multiple calls simultaneously

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in emergency or critical care nursing: Ideal for quick decision-making and managing urgent health situations.
• Additional certifications in telephone triage or telehealth: Enhances your capability to provide quality care over the phone.
