Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our thriving practice in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal ailments, providing preventative care, and ensuring the well-being of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyze animal health conditions through comprehensive examinations.
  • Engage clients in discussions about their animals' health and care strategies.
  • Prescribe medication and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results accurately.
  • Participate in emergency on-call duties when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians to deliver excellent care.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of practice protocols and procedures.
  • Be an advocate for animal welfare and ethical treatment.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in a specialty is an advantage
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in veterinary practice, preferably with a focus on small animals
