Job Description

We are seeking an Employee Relations Manager to lead our employee engagement initiatives in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing our workplace environment, resolving employee conflicts, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role is pivotal in shaping our organisational culture and driving effective communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of engagement strategies to improve overall employee satisfaction.
  • Act as a mediator in employee disputes and manage disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Regularly review and update HR policies to reflect changes in legislation.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback on workplace experiences.
  • Develop workshops and training for staff on workplace behavior and communication.
  • Monitor employee morale and recommend changes to HR practices.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employees to promote open communication.
  • Advise management on employee relations issues and trends.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the company.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • CIPD Advanced Level qualification is desirable
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant HR experience with a focus on employee relations
