Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Duct Layer to join our team. The Duct Layer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining duct systems for various projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in the industry and possess strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation projects while adhering to deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers on duct designs.
• Implement best practices in ductwork installation.
• Provide coaching and training to junior staff as needed.
• Evaluate existing duct systems for energy efficiency.
• Document all work done accurately for customer records.
• Manage customer interactions with professionalism.
• Investigate customer complaints related to duct issues.
• Prepare project reports and documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational training in HVAC or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in ductwork installation, particularly in commercial settings.

Technical Skills

• Duct sizing and layout software
• Insulation installation techniques

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Time management

Certifications

• Health and safety certification (desirable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software: Familiarity with CAM tools will be advantageous.
• Experience with energy audits: Knowledge of conducting energy audits for existing duct systems.
