Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Transportation Planner to contribute to our projects in Leeds. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop sustainable transportation plans that cater to community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transportation planning projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Evaluate transportation impacts of new developments and land use changes.
  • Work with engineering teams to design and implement transportation infrastructure improvements.
  • Create and maintain stakeholder engagement through effective communication strategies.
  • Analyse traffic patterns and develop mitigation strategies for congestion issues.
  • Prepare project cost estimates and manage project budgets.
  • Participate in public meetings and forums to present plans and gather community feedback.
  • Respond to inquiries from government officials, civic organizations, and the public.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies, Environmental Planning, or Civil Engineering
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus
Experience
  • 3-5 years in a related transportation planning role
