Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to manage our fleet operations in Stevenage. The ideal candidate will oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. You will lead a team of technicians and implement effective maintenance strategies to improve fleet performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with third-party service providers and suppliers.
• Ensure timely and effective communication regarding maintenance schedules and vehicle availability.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team and resolve complex issues.
• Assist in the development of training programs for fleet staff.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and contribute to safety initiatives.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and forecast issues.
• Ensure all team members comply with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Business Administration or Logistics is a plus
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in fleet management or vehicle maintenance
