Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Rag Sorter to join our dynamic team. As a Rag Sorter, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting and categorizing textiles according to specified criteria. Your keen eye for detail and superb organizational skills will play a vital role in our operations.

Responsibilities

• Sort textiles efficiently using predetermined criteria.
• Ensure sorted textiles are prepared for transport to processing areas.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Maintain organization within the sorting area to enhance operational efficiency.
• Participate in team briefings and contribute to overall team performance.
• Implement best practices for quality control in sorted textiles.
• Provide input on operational improvements to supervisors.
• Undertake training sessions as required for safety and efficiency.
• Support seasonal or project-based sorting initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in the recycling sector is an advantage.
