Job Description

As a Material Handling Equipment Longshoreman, you will play a key role in our operations. You'll operate and maintain equipment used for loading and unloading cargo from ships, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Utilise equipment for loading/unloading cargo efficiently and safely.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on material handling equipment.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimise cargo flow and handling.
• Document and report any equipment malfunction or safety hazards.
• Support training of new staff on equipment operation and safety.

Requirements

Education

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience operating material handling equipment in a warehouse or port environment.

• Forklift Operation

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Certifications

• Forklift Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Hazardous Materials: Familiarity with handling hazardous materials is a plus.
