Responsibilities

• Safely operate forestry equipment in various terrains and conditions.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on machinery to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Assist in the loading and transportation of harvested timber to processing sites.
• Implement best practices for forest sustainability during operations.
• Work closely with supervisors to optimise operations and achieve production targets.
• Train new operators in the safe use of forestry equipment.
• Document maintenance activities and report any issues to the management team.
• Participate in safety drills and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.

Requirements

Education

• Valid UK driving licence
• Certification in forest machinery operation or equivalent training

Experience

• Previous involvement in timber harvesting operations.
