Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Plate Grinder to join our esteemed team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for grinding and smoothing metal plates to meet precise specifications. You will operate various grinding machines and tools to ensure accuracy and quality in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the grinding process.
• Support the training of junior operators in machine setup and operation.
• Implement improvements to the grinding process to enhance efficiency.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Higher National Certificate in Manufacturing or similar

Experience

• Experience working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Metalworking techniques
• Maintenance skills

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certified in Health and Safety regulations: Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
• Forklift operation certification: Valid certification for operating forklifts and similar equipment.
