Information Security Engineer

Job Description

As an Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for fortifying our organization’s information systems against cyber threats. This role demands a proactive approach to security challenges, ensuring that our data remains protected and our systems resilient.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
• Regularly assess network traffic for anomalies and suspicious activity.
• Assist in developing an incident response plan and execute it during actual events.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and suggest improvements.
• Engage in risk assessment and management activities.
• Work closely with compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Conduct training sessions on security protocols for staff at all levels.
• Document security incidents and responses for future reference.
• Maintain and update disaster recovery plans.
• Review and update security tools and software to combat the latest threats.

Requirements

Education

• A Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Assurance is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in information security roles

Languages
